Orange is the New Black

Good morning dolls! My last post of 2013 and it's only fitting that I leave this year
with a pop of color.  To those who celebrated, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas
filled with nothing but love and laughter. It’s been nice to take the time off and not
have to worry about outfits and shooting.

I want to wish a Happy New Year to each and every one of you. I wish for all of us to
be just a little bit kinder, wiser and happier in the New Year. I hope that all of your
dreams and aspirations come true in 2014. Let's toast to love and happiness!

NOLA Diary

(1) Lemon trees reaching the balconies. Imagine waking up to that?

Here are some of my favorite shots from New Orleans that sum up my short but unforgettable getaway. Can't express how much I felt in love with this place.
If you missed it, here is NOLA - Part I
(2) French quarter

(3) The best, warm, mouthwatering beignets I have ever tasted at Cafe Du Monde (totally worth the line).

(4) Maybe with the exception of a new bag

(5) Gorgeous narrow streets, tucked away in the middle of the French Quarter
(6) Decorations that light up at night and luscious plants all around.

(7) Wearing my bellowed Tibi boots while strolling the Garden District.

(8) Garden District - movie-like, candy colored houses in all possible colors. Just look at
those details and obvioulsy had to share the pink one, one of my favorite.

NOLA - Part I

Good morning from NOLA! My guy and I finally made our first but definitely not last visit to New Orleans and boy am I kicking myself for not visiting sooner. The only downer was the cold so next time I'm planning a summer visit. There are no words to describe the true beauty and atmosphere of the place but to visit for yourself. The people, the food, the music, it truly is a one-of-a kind place and the utter happiness cannot be put to words. It’s safe to say I’ve left a piece of my heart and soul somewhere along the Frenchman street.
New Orleans diary is coming up next.

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays!

December is here and I couldn’t be more excited. Everything becomes so cheerful, festive and exciting. Family time, decorations, present wrapping, ice skating in Bryant Park, pushing through the crowds to get a glimpse of the tree at the Rockefeller center, drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows on a cold Sunday, the list goes on and on.

The days become shorter and darker and nothing beats watching Christmas movies and drinking hot tea, which is precisely what I have been doing, hence the absence on the blog. Do forgive me, as I fully indulge in this time of the year and eventually I will come out of hiding.

In the meantime I wanted to wish you and your family Happy Holidays and a prosperous year. May we be brighter, wiser and happier in the next year and leave all the troubles behind in 2013. Thank you for being with me on this journey.

Instagram Moments

Good morning dolls! Can't believe it's Thanksgiving week. I'm super excited to spend time with family and indulge in my all-time favorite - pie! Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving week
filled with love, happiness, family time and lots of pie!

1. Breaking in my new LR Fenton booties, which I have been wearing non-stop.
2. A second look at the David Zwirner exhibit, I mentioned in my previous post.
3. Early breakfasts spent tucked in at Le Pain Quotidien

4. Checking out these gorgeous kaws at the Mary Boone Gallery
5. Surprise flowers from my guy that have since filled our room with the intoxicating smell of lilies.
6. Trying to stay warm with this Tibi sweater, Fenton boots, J.Crew pants and Gucci disco bag
7. Stumbled upon a "Wish Tree" in Chelsea.

Infinity

Hello dolls! How is your week going so far?

I spent Sunday tucked away on my couch with one too many brownies
and constant cups of tea, watching Modern Family re-runs (don’t judge).
It was one of those grey, drizzling days that are better spent in doors.
Saturday was a bit more productive, as I finally got to visit the
latest Yayoi Kusama exhibit.

PS. These were taken with my IPhone, so forgive the blurriness.

Mini Moments

Sometimes it's important to stop for a second and really take it all in.
All your surroundings, all the things to be grateful for that are easily dismissed.
So today, I just wanted to take a moment and admire the beauty of my city,
acknowledge the little things, stop and appreciate all that we are given.
I want this to be a place of happiness and relaxation so I won’t get heavy on you.
But today, I am grateful to be alive and well and pray the same
for all those affected by the brutality of Typhoon Haiyan.

Navy: Dots and Stripes

Morning dolls and it's Monday yet again! Why do weekends
tend to pass by with such a lightning speed?

I wanted to incorporate my new Phillip Lim shoes (before I store them for good)
and decided to play around stripes and dots, as long as the colors were the same.
Adding a dark lip and a faux fur west and voila. Hope you like it.

Mini NYC Moments

Happy Friday! We are officially in November which means the holidays will start
rolling in no time. I get so excited during this time of year, everything around you gets
a bit more festive and cheerful, decorations are being put up, and next you know it’s
already time to get a tree. Getting a Christmas tree is probably one of my favorite things
in the world and I can’t wait to continue the tradition this year as well.
PS. Another great thing about November? The icing rink is now open in
Bryant Park, so that’s where I'll be this weekend.
