I love short weeks, who doesn’t, it makes the week just fly by. Unfortunately that means that the next week will drag on forever, but let’s not get into that just yet.

In a desperate effort to stay warm and after I drained my Starbucks I ended up in Madewell and couldn’t leave without purchasing these rock & roll  pants (after seeing Rock of Ages this weekend I firmly believe they came from one of their dressing rooms). Either way I love them, I wore them the next day and night (more on that later)  and I don’t know how I lived without them.

Happy Monday! I can't believe this long weekend has come to its end. Other than the freezing temperatures in NYC, it's been a great, relaxing weekend, just what I needed to recharge.

 

These pictures were taking a few weeks ago on one of those super warm days, so don't be alarmed, I wouldn't attempt this any time soon.

This shoot took place in probably the coldest day you can possible imagine and I seriously couldn't feel my fingers for a good half hour after. I think my face and body were so frozen that I was just stuck in one pose. Ugh the things we do..

The good news is that it's Friday! Does anyone have any exciting plans or getaways for the extended weekend? Do tell! Since I'll probably be stuck at home, periodically making Starbucks runs. I think this weekend will only get colder, if that's even possible, which means I'll be fishing out my DVD draw (Sex and the city marathon anyone?)

PS: Did I mention I love hats? Well I do and I make a conscious effort not to wear them every time, which makes it that more exciting when I do.

Neon + weekend moments

 My guy and I had absolutly one of the best Sundays ever. You know those days when you have nothing planned and yet you end up seeing and doing more then you could have piled on in one day?

This blue door caught my attention, so we quickly snapped some shots.

Got lost in West Village and found this block that completely took my breath away. Looks like one of those narrow quaint streets you find in Italy. Either way had to share with you.

 After a quick brunch and a stop at Milk & Cookies Bakery, we headed home to watch the Golden Globes.

Sometimes I have the urge to just go for it and this felt like one of those times. I matched the shirt with my guy’s shirt for a family dinner, deciding to play one of the boys. The only thing I was missing was a tie and now I really wish I had one.

My pants provided plenty of conversation around the table but if you can’t have fun with fashion, what’s the point? Besides I’m just not ready to let go of Christmas. Perhaps I’ll store these for next year.

Don’t you just love a short week? I can certainly get used to this.

I've decided to try something new (blue nails new), I know that doesn’t sound too crazy of an experiment, but I'm a red-nail-polish kind of gal so this was a fun change for me.

If you’re thinking of how I came up with that title, simple, my boyfriend provides me with plenty of ideas, without even knowing it. He calls this skirt a cupcake (which I secretly love, don’t tell him that), add the orange sweater and you see where I’m going with this. So there, a pumpkin cupcake it is. Here is the inspiration I suppose.. Come to think of it, that does look yummy.
