Flower Child

I am so excited that it is finally getting warmer in NY. I desperately needed some

Spring in my step (after a cold and wet previous week) so I ended up reaching for

my Spring must have blazer sooner than expected.  Although I still had to pair it with

a sweater, it felt good to leave my winter coat behind, my toes were less lucky.

I automatically reached for this blazer as soon as it caught my eye. I tend to gravitate

towards colors  and girlier patterns and this happened to embody all of the things I love,

or maybe I just wanted something that screamed SPRING. What are some of things

 that you're craving this season?

My favorite pass time is hiding out in a café by the window with a  cup of green

 tea and some yummy macaroons (pistachio and coconut are my favorite).

Instantly brightens up my day and makes me feel relaxed and happy. I love

popping into Financier, as it is just a quick spring from home.

Neon + weekend moments

 My guy and I had absolutly one of the best Sundays ever. You know those days when you have nothing planned and yet you end up seeing and doing more then you could have piled on in one day?

This blue door caught my attention, so we quickly snapped some shots.

Got lost in West Village and found this block that completely took my breath away. Looks like one of those narrow quaint streets you find in Italy. Either way had to share with you.

 After a quick brunch and a stop at Milk & Cookies Bakery, we headed home to watch the Golden Globes.

The greatest thing about living in New York City is that no matter how long you’ve lived here there is always something new and exciting to try and explore.

This past weekend I decided to play a tourist. A trip to Times Square, ice skating in Bryant park and drinking mint lemonade at Max Brenner’s was all I needed to be reminded of how much I adore my city. The yellow cabs, the crowds all of it can get too much sometimes but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Now on to new and exciting, what do fashionistas await for this time of year? You guessed it, window displays at Saks!! Saks has the most amazing, intricate and fashion drooling window displays right before Christmas and I can’t wait to see what they will come up with this year (I may take a peak this weekend to see the progress :) ).

This bit of normalcy is a welcoming distraction from the current reality of NYC due to Sandy. Hoping to get power back sometime soon... For now I’ll try to stay in touch as often as I can.

This week we've had no shortage of rain and I decided what better way to cheer myself up than by going to  Magnolia's Bakery  for a slice of my favorite chocolate cake. Their desserts cure everything, highly recommend to give it a try.

On another note, I couldn’t wait to wear my new studded booties out and a little bit of rain surely was not going to stop me. Now if we could only make the sun come out J
