Playing Dress Up

(Look #1/ dress by Aryn K.)
Good morning dolls. I have officially moved and questionably so am still alive
(though bruised and scratched. I wonder if people on the train considered
if I have a feisty cat).

(Look #2 blazer by Aryn K.// pants by McGinn)
But forget all that because nothing could tamper my mood. A Cinderella moment happened this week and my head is still spinning from all the gorgeous pieces I was able to view
at CARO Marketing’s NY showroom. So when someone contacts you asking if you’d like to come view collections of a handfull of amazing designers, what do you do? Well naturally, you break into a painfully jolly grin and make a very exciting/questionable glee-like sound. Followed by days of delicious memories of garments you secretly wish to take home. Thanks to the amazing team at CARO Marketing I was able to snag (yeah I’m that cool, there goes that jolly grin again) a few stunners and I’m anticipating some serious shooting over the weekend so please stay tuned and check back in on Monday for look #1. It means so much to me to be able to share these gleeful moments with you guys because really without you, these moments would not exist.

Here are just a few teasers that we shot in the showroom of the pieces that immediately
caught my eye. Like a kid in a candy store I went for all the delicious, colorful,
stand-out pieces. Which one is your favorite?
(Look #3/ jacket and skirt by Paul & Joe) love this option

Ok stop. How darn cute is this? Take a swirl and come back again. Yeah it's that cute.

PS. A little about Caro Marketing- they represent a lot of amazing brands (Aryn K., Mcginn, Paul & Joe, Me Char and one of my newly favorites Harlyn. Be sure to follow them on facebook/ twitter/instagram for updates on sample sales and more.

Thank you so much for being with me on this fashion obsessed journey of mine.

Color me RED

Morning dolls!

Here is what I wore this past weekend while strolling the South Street Seaport.
Distressed jeans and a tee was a no brainer, the statement necklace and heels
just tied everything together for a more polished look. Love a good striped tee.
What do you guys think?

Just when I thought I would have some free leisurely weekend time, we are on the move to a new place (still in the city) and my days are now filled with packing it all up. What can I say? We like to keep ourselves entertained. Next week is going to be pure chaotic madness of packing, lifting and unpacking so I'm just looking forward to getting through with minimal nervous breakdowns and putting it all behind me. After this, I’m putting my feet up on the coach for a few consecutive days.

Happy Monday. Hope you all had a great and relaxing weekend!
Some exciting news for my amazing readers below!

I finally have been able to wear this shirt dress without tights ( see here) and I couldn't be happier with how comfortable it is. This easy breezy outfit was perfect for my leisurely Sunday walk in Soho.

Another happy surprise was this gorgeous  Bombshell bangle that Lydali was kind enough to send to me. I'm a huge fan of golden bracelets and bangles because I feel like they add the perfect touch of glamour to any casual summer outfit. This one in particular was one of my favorites and I am happy to admit that I am wearing it right now, as I type this post. Which is why I'm super excited to announce that one of my lucky readers can now enter for a chance to win one!

I don’t host giveaways very often simply because I want to remain true to this blog and only do things that I truly love and wear myself. So I’m really excited about this one, because I’ve been wearing it nonstop and loving how it plays against the sun.

Please don’t forget to check Lydali for other equally amazing jewelry pieces, this site is definitely one to watch out for.

London Highlights

(1) Parlament

Happy Monday! Hope you had a lovely weekend and enjoyed all the
sunshine NY had to offer, as it is back to rain.

(2) London Eye

Following my Paris highlights in the previous post, here are my most
fond London memories. An equally breathtaking city.

We were met with some wind and rain but we made the
most of it and quickly covered the basics.

(3) Change of guards at Westminster Castle

From then on it was nothing but sunshine and we had such an amazing time
exploring Westminster Castle, the city of Bath and Stonehenge.
Afternoon tea at Alice's Mad Hatter, in the city of Bath.

(4) Buckingham Palace, a nod to the Queen.

(5) Hyde Park

This one is easily my favorite shot of all thus far. I think it's the perfect description of London - gorgeous blossoms all around, bikes, and quint white colony houses just a few stories high. It's one of the most gorgeous cities I have ever visited. Can't wait to come back.

Hope you enjoyed my travel diaries and maybe I have inspired a few to visit these amazing places. I love traveling and always love to hear everyone’s travel stories. Which places inspire you and make you want to come back for a visit? Would love to hear!

As always, thank you so much for reading and for all your lovely comments!

O

Paris highlights

(1) Across from the Louvre

As promised here is the first look of my Europe trip. I gathered some shots from some
of my favorite Parisian moments and some of the most famous landmarks. I have to say,
that I was completely in awe of the Arc De Triomphe.

(2) Arc De Triomphe

It could be because we walked for over an hour to get to it (the trickster appears nearby until you start walking and realize it’s actually pretty darn far) or the fact that by the time we got to it the sun was setting so the transition of the sky going from all shades of pink and orange was breathtaking (although you can’t see it all that well in the picture).

(3) Pont des Arts - aka the lovers bridge (our locket has been added for good measure)

(4) One is never too old to admire and giggle about a carousel

(5) Starring in admiration

(6) The lovely Luxembourg Parc

(7) Notre Dame

I was equally taken aback with the stunning Notre Dame,
and I was only too glad to pass by it all day long ,every day as
it was in close proximity to our hotel.

(8 ) Our balcony view and getting ready for the Moulin Rouge (which
was equally amazing and highly recommend seeing it if in Paris)

(9) Louvre - the perfect antidote for a rainy day (expect to wait in line a while)

It was really hard trying to compress my Parisian adventures in just a few photos. There is so much to see and do that I wouldn’t do its justice but I think I narrowed it down to not too many, but enough to give you a sense of how spectacular Paris really is (day and night). Not even constant showers and cold temperatures could dampen my mood. Although I spend most of the day on my feet, sightseeing and mesmerizing all the history and architecture, I did make time for some amazing tea and dessert afternoons spent in Laduree ( my favorite spot of all time) and chocolate croissants eating (which I’m now regretting… not really, it was that good!).

I am certainly no export, but have learned and seen so much and can’t wait to hopefully visit again in the future. You truly can never have enough of Paris and can never see it all and I now understand why people keep coming back throughout their life. It really is a magical place.

Hope you have a great weekend and thanks so much for all your lovely comments!
PS: Next week I will be sharing with you the London part of the trip.

Love,
O
