1985 Feathers

I've been sulking after this skirt since December but couldn't find my size
and just when I gave up all hope, there it was waiting for me this past weekend.

I love mixing edgier pieces (like the cocktail disco ball ring) with more softer pieces
(like the pearl flower ring) to create the perfect balance.

So here we are at last, me and my feathers.
And this is what happens to your shoes when you
get too close to a concrete wall

Thank you so much for all your love and support. Nothing
makes my day more then reading your comments!

Whisk me away

I couldn't resist and not do a V-day inspired post (turns out I’m such
a softy when it comes to love or red color in general).

I’ll be the first to admit that I have far too many red garments (being that it’s my favorite color as of lately) in my closet but I just couldn’t resist this dress. The minute I saw it, it screamed Valentine’s Day. When it came to picking the perfect jewelry to go with the look, I was a bit lost. I didn’t want anything to overpower the dress and wanted something delicate and timeless (the theme was romance after all). So when Anjolee contacting me asking if I would like to collaborate, of course I jumped for joy.

Anjolee is the only website where you can take any jewelry design and make it your own. If that
doesn’t make you giddy with excitement, the website also allows you to customize anything from shape, collection, size, you name it (it’s basically build a bear but for jewelry). Who doesn’t want a custom piece that reflects your style and personality? It's the kind of jewelry that you can wear every single day, for any occasion and that you will keep throughout your life.

So ladies what are you waiting for? Scoot on over and create your own ideal piece that reflects who you are. And if your guy is still in search for that perfect Valentine's Day gift, take him out of his misery with a hint or two ( diamond tennis bracelet and diamond necklace).

Dress: Donna Ricco
Blazer: BCBG MaxAzria
Tights: Club Monaco
Shoes: Max Studio
Bracelet: c/o Anjolee
gold love ring: gifted
Lipstick: Nars/heat wave

This Thursday, let's paint the town red and fall in love all over again.

What are your plans? A fancy dinner, a movie, a cooked at home meal, or a chick flick with ice-cream? No matter what it is and who you are spending it with (I once spent it with my dog and we had a blast, don’t laugh) just have fun!

Love,
O

A night out on Instagram

It started snowing on Friday, calling for one magical night.
Had to snap a few pictures before heading to dinner. As suspected all traces of snow were gone by the next day ( at least in the city).
Everyone needs a little bit of sparkle
This past weekend my guy and I had our very first date night of 2013, pretty exciting huh? This happened for two reasons:
(1) I felt a desperate need to play dress up and forget about the cold
(2) It’s restaurant week in NYC (coveted words to any New Yorker)

The decor @Ajna Bar is one of my favorites.

I am still having dreams about their molted chocolate dessert.

Meatpacking District is one of my favorite neighborhoods for a night out. Sipping amazing cocktails, listen to a DJ spinning tunes all meanwhile you are comfortably seated in a plush cushion of a sofa. It’s busy and loud yet cozy, dark and romantic. This was the perfect antidote to the winter blues we’ve been experiencing.

I’ve lined up a few more of these rendezvous nights out and will be sharing with you in due time.

MOMA

Sweater +  Vest: Club Monaco
Pants: Madewell
Shoes: MaxStudio
Watch:Gucci

One of my favorite pieces in MOMA - Christina's World

I finally paid a visit to MOMA ( I haven’t been in a very long time) and it’s such a pleasant surprise to see so many loved and familiar pieces that I’ve been coming to see for years.

As much as I am hating this bitter NYC cold (yes I know I complain far too much about it), I must admit it’s allowing me to pay a visit to some of my favorite museums and galleries. Which brings me to my night version of these pants (last worn here ).

Where do you like to hide from the cold, except the couch that it?

 Happy Friday!
 Love,
 O
