Summer Dates

Good morning lovelies! A quick hello before I tackle this busy day.

Summer dates are the best, minimal work or layering for that matter.
Throw in a floral skirt with some heels (still can't get over my love for
these babies) and you are all ready to go. If this skirt doesn't scream
summer, I don't know what does.

Wish I could dress like this all year long, but I'll take what I can get.
Fall is approaching far too soon but I'm not ready to let go and will milk
this summer for all its got.

Nothing like a quirky clutch to brighten the mood.

Sea breeze

Living by the water has it's perks. One being the constant inspiration to wear
colors, particularly sea related colors. After my morning run I went in search for
some blues that reminded me of the sea breeze and the blue skies and I guess
it’s safe to say, the task was achieved.

The top was the starting point and the rest just worked itself out. I clearly couldn’t
resist piling on colors this time around and just went for it. I kind of liked the result
even if I do resemble a sea breeze quite literally. What do you guys think?

A huge thanks to CARO Marketing for gifting me with the perfect
summer bag and I just couldn't resist this color.
Officially my first purple bag!
The golden chain adds the perfect touch glamour.

Cheetah prints

Happy Monday lovelies! Hope your weekend was sunny and relaxing. It's just like
me to get sick with a flu right after my arrival back but after far too many hot beverages,
I'm starting to feel better.

Here is my second Florida look that I wanted to share with you guys. I love these
Zara pants and am glad to finally dig them out for spring/summer and can't wait to have
them on repeat, perfect for day or night. In this case, I paired them with soft pink heels
(my latest obsession) for a romantic dinner with my guy. I matched my lips to the heel for a
more softer, romantic look.

PS. One more reason I love Florida, these were taking at around 8pm and the sun is still shinning, miss this already.

PPS. You are probably getting sick of seeing me with this bag, but I just can't seem to put it down. It somehow goes with everything I wear and perfectly transitions from day to night. Yeah I know, I'll try to switch it up, but can't make any promises.

Thanks so much for reading!

Boyfriend jeans with a sparkly twist

Good morning dolls! Monday is looking grey with rain but I'm thankful we
had an amazingly warm and sunny weekend.

I wore this outfit on Friday for a dinner at Buvette. It’s my # 1 go-to-spot for brunch but
it was my first time going for dinner. I can’t express how amazing their food is and their wines
are simply delicious. Best part about spring? Finally getting to dine outside, whether in the
rooftop or in the garden, it really makes it that much more enjoyable.

And I finally took my beloved glittery shoes for a spin. The minute I saw them, I had a
Dorothy moment and after a fraction of hesitation I had to take them home. Paired with
boyfriend jeans, creates the perfect balance of casual chic and adds an unexpected twist.
Yellow top was a no-brainer and red lips just pulled it all together. What do you guys think?

I hope you weekend was just as fun and relaxing.

White blossoms in West Village

Hello my lovelies!

Coming off the 70s temperature high, it became a bit chilly for a few days so I opted for silk pants (or as I call them PJs, similar once worn here) but kept warm with a sweater and a light jacket.  I kept it somewhat light with a white handbag and a white bejeweled sweater, to still have that spring feeling. And what do you know? I ended up perfectly blending in with the gorgeously blooming trees.

I have to say, west village is my all-time favorite, so it’s not surprising that it is also my favorite photo opt spot. Everything looks picturesque and quaint. There is something soothing about rows and rows of gorgeous brownstones covered in greenery and beautiful tulips. I always get so inspired just walking through different streets admiring the architecture.

Yellow denim

Hello my lovelies!

It’s been so lovely and warm in NYC (high 70s) that I just want to sing at the
top of my lungs (I can't sing). Winter feels ages away and I plan on spending a
small part of my weekend shoving down all the sweaters and winter
coats as far away as possible.

Warm rays of sunshine have such a blissful effect on me that I cannot help but want
to wrap myself in color on daily basis. Case in point , I dug up these buttercup
yellows for a day around NYC, finally giving my open toes a breather.

I’ll make any excuse to be outside soaking up the sun, so it’s safe to say I’ll be somewhere out and about this weekend. For more photos and updates throughout the weekend follow me on Instagram (anightinnyc) or Twitter (@anightinnyc).

Casual and simple, but the heels add just a touch of glamour and
you can never go wrong with a crisp white button down.

BCBG Max Azria jeans: similar
BCBG Max Azria shoes: another option

1985 Feathers

I've been sulking after this skirt since December but couldn't find my size
and just when I gave up all hope, there it was waiting for me this past weekend.

I love mixing edgier pieces (like the cocktail disco ball ring) with more softer pieces
(like the pearl flower ring) to create the perfect balance.

So here we are at last, me and my feathers.
And this is what happens to your shoes when you
get too close to a concrete wall

Thank you so much for all your love and support. Nothing
makes my day more then reading your comments!

Pumped up Kicks

 Sweater: J. Crew
Shirt: Banana Republic (old)
Jeans: Zara
Shoes: Nike
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban aviators
Lipstick: Nars/heat wave
Watch: Gucci

Happy Friday!
Who else is pumped about the three-day long weekend? I know I sure am. I've been so behind on movies lately (The Silver Lining Playbook and Argo have been on my list for far too long). So I’m planning some serious movie time this weekend. Anyone else has exciting plans? (you see what I just did there, yeah I consider watching movies all day long nothing short of exciting and cupcakes most likely will be involved). If you are new to this blog, I have a thing for cupcakes, don’t judge.

And if you are curious about where I go and what I do the other days of the week (I won’t call you a stalker I promise) go ahead and follow me along on twitter @anightinnyc and instagram anightinyc.

PS: I post a lot of pictures, consider yourselves warned.

Love,
O
